Rev. Travis Bowers - Pastor

Rev. Travis Bowers began serving as our pastor on February 23, 2009.  He has pastored two other churches in the upstate of South Carolina after spending 13 years as an Associate Pastor and Student Minister.  He grew up in the Lowcountry of South Carolina in the historic city of Beaufort.  He graduated Anderson College (University) in 1997 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in History.  He attended Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary and Trinity Theological Seminary.  He describes his pastoral philosophy as a relationship builder.  He believes strongly that people are looking for relationships and in turn those relationships will eventually lead to a growing knowledge and fatih in Jesus Christ. 

He is married to the former Tiffany Seymore of Powdersville and they have two children that are the loves of their lives!  They have a son (Conley) that was born on November 19, 2001 and a daughter (Annalee) that was born on April 9, 2006.  They serve our church family as a family team and we are blessed to have them serving as our pastor.

Glenn Edwards - Minister of Students & Summer Children's Director

Glenn joined the staff of Georges Creek on August 2, 2009 as our part-time Minister of Students.  He comes to us after serving churches in the state of Texas while he attended seminary.  His journey to GCBC actually began in 2002 when he served here as part-time youth minister before leaving for seminary.  His journey has come full circle and our church family is blessed to have him on our staff to lead our students in the 21st century.  Because of our ever growing Children's Ministry, in May 2010,  GCBC called Glenn as the full-time Summer Children's Director along with his position as Minister of Students.

Glenn is a 2003 graduate of North Greenville College (University) with a Bachelor of Arts in Christian Studies and a 2007 graduate of Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Fort Worth, TX with a Master of Arts in Christian Education, Youth Ministry degree.  On May 22, 2010, Glenn married the former Melissa Robson of Easley and a member of GCBC.

Lesley Bolds - Ministry Assistant

Lesley Bolds began serving as our Financial Ministry Assistant in August 2008.  She has previous financial experience working in several businesses for the past few years.  She was raised in Georges Creek and left when she married her husband.  In July, 2009 she became our Ministry Assistant combining both financial and church receptionist responsibilites.  As our Ministry Assistant, she is our central contact person for the church office for master calendar scheduling, information for the Midweek and Sunday bulletins, our monthly church newsletter, check requests and any other budget items.

The office hours for the Ministry Assistant are Monday-Thursday, 8:30 am - 3:00 pm.  The church office is closed on Fridays.
