These are some of most basic, yet the most frequently used Chinese characters. The biggest challenges for the beginners' students of Mandarin Chinese would be to recognize these characters in the given contexts. In the HSK Level 1 book series, you will be exposed to all these 150 Chinese characters. Each book contains about 15 new Chinese characters from the HSK Level 1 test syllabus. There are about 12-15 examples sentences provided for each of the characters. The sentences are explained with simplified Chinese characters, pinyin, and English. Each of the books comes with five short essays (短文) and stories (故事) based on the characters introduced in the book. The pinyin and English version of essays, stories are also included for reference. All these HSK Level 1 books are designed for the beginner students of Mandarin Chinese.
