He nursed the idea of going to the university to study journalism, but after high school the death of his father put an end to that dream. He was forced to work to support the family. He started writing articles for a local newspaper and eventually gained full employment status with The Silent Voices. His articles, which were too critical of the corrupt regime, soon landed him into trouble. After threats and beatings, he was forced to go into hiding because he dared to attack the head of state himself in one of his articles. On his first attempt to leave the country, he gets across the border into Equatorial Guinea only to realize that his photo is pasted on the door of the Immigration office. He is forced to run back into his homeland where there is a serous man hunt for him with his next target being the Nigerian border found on the other end of the country. With the numerous police checkpoints along the way, would he finally make it there?
