It uses for illustrative purposes the steps followed in making the program of the Girls' High School of Boston, a school of 2100 pupils, but the type of program and the method of procedure outlined here have been applied successfully to high schools ranging in size from 200 to 2000; to high schools with fixed courses of study, and to those with a large amount of freedom in election; to high schools with programs made up largely of academic work, and to those with much shop or industrial work.
