When individuals with special needs have good oral health, it improves the quality of their lives as well as the quality of their caregivers lives. It can be used to help caregivers who work with a wide variety of individuals who encounter obstacles to effective oral health practices. These individuals may include persons with developmental disabilities, physical limitations, medical problems, and mental impairment, as well as elderly individuals" -- From trainer's manual.
