Book excerpt: In this novella, the author clothes the legend of Semiramis with own romanesque garnitures, offering in this way the reader a sympathetical, friendly story. The work is practically articulated in two settings: In the first one has essentially the youthful episodical life of our protagonist the leading role, and in terms of place the towns Ashqaluna, Dimashqa and Ninua of the then Assyrian Empire. In the second one, on a conquestative martial backdrop, and at the same time erotical one, the later episodical one of our narrative's main character, of that beautiful and epical heroine-image, Semiramis, as well as to some extent of her three sons; and in terms of place mainly Babylon. In brief, a scenario of literary scenes, a constellation of dramatical developments, which certainly do not leave untouched, uncarried away and unimpressed the reader.
