There are events from my childhood which I brought in to help show how life was for a child growing up in Nigeria (Same, Moon and Sun). Also the expectations from the standpoint of a parent and how education was a big part of our lives (Our Role Model). There are also events that tie a village together, such as in the story of The True Ada. Th ere is the mixture of what I see here in America with what was back home, as in Ready for School. All in all it is the conections that make us who we are or aspire to be.
