Cal then finds work in London. 1968 finds Sammy in Paris. Harry studies in England and meets Kuwaiti Rashid, conduit to the Arab world. Sammy takes a memorable acid trip. Maggie's parents grow odder as her children grow farther away. Patty's dreams turn seriously strange. The book ends with the Apollo moon landing.
