There was never a shortage of photographs to be taken. He encountered long-term residents, legislators, business owners, fairground workers, artists and actors, curragh rowers, and pub regulars. But, of course, he would always be drawn to the river's edge; to the wharfs where the ship's pilots, the dockworkers, the crane operators, and the truck drivers kept the cargo ticking over.
