He is the author of more 40 books, including Equations of Eternity (a NY Times Notable Book of the Year), Life Everywhere, Gravity's Arc, and, with Dirk-Schulze-Makuch, We Are Not Alone, and Megacatastrophes! His most recent book is Mayday! about pioneering aviators. His science website, www.daviddarling.info, is a popular Internet resource. He lives in Dundee, Scotland. Dirk Schulze-Makuch is a professor at the School of Earth and Environmental Sciences at Washington State University, and has published seven books related to the field of astrobiology and planetary habitability, including Life in the Universe, A One Way Mission to Mars, and Cosmic Biology.
