H., For Year Ending Feb. 15, 1894 The only direct change in text books has been the introduction of Miss Hyde's Practical Lessons in English, in place of the grammar formerly used, and believe they have given good satisfaction, with the prospect of their being better appreciated when their purpose is more fully understood. We have also added for use in the High School, Montgomery's Histories, some supplementary readers, and a few Latin grammars. In addition, several books of reference have been placed upon the teachers' desks. The school houses are in good condition, with the exception of No. 5, which needs shingling.
