They had a son, Joseph, on 25 Dec. 1749, and soon afterwards the mother died. John and his son immigrated to New York in 1764 and settled for a time in Marbletown, Ulster County, then moved to Kingstown. Both John and Joseph Chipp in the Kingstown Militia during the Revolutionary War. John died 19 April 1808. Descendants lived in New York and elsewhere.
