They buy a ranch, but their troubles aren't over yet-a tragedy occurs. Will the two young men realize their dream? Can they conquer the wilderness and survive the rough journey? Fletcher's novel is a nostalgic narration where the characters are richly textured and the reader is drawn into a simpler time-when land was abundant and hard work eventually led to a place one could call home.
