Book excerpt: Excerpt from A Copy of Inscriptions on the Gravestones in the Old Cemetery, or Pine Ridge Cemetery, So Called, in Hancock, New Hampshire Voted, That a survey and plan of the old cemetery be prepared, that a copy of the inscriptions on all the gravestones be made and printed for permanent preservation under the direction of a committee of three, to be appointed by the selectmen, and that the sum of one hundred and fifty dollars be raised and appropriated for the purpose to be used in connection with any donations or contributions made for this object. Under the above motion, Andrew B. Stone, Edgar L. Ware and Wilfred M. Davis were appointed a committee to carry the foregoing resolutions into effect, the result of their efforts being the publication of this book of inscriptions.
