Book excerpt: Excerpt from Annual Departmental Reports, 1924-25, Vol. 1 The retention of Post Office revenue to pay certain postmasters' salaries and allowances-and the payment of drawbacks, etc., from revenue are in accord ance with a long standing custom. This custom has been brought to the atten tion of the House of Commons in previous reports. This revenue includes refunds of expenditure of previous years and receipts from sale of equipment, land, etc. These are not the same as ordinary revenue receipts, and should be accounted for separately.
