Book excerpt: This Bible Survey of the Old and New Testament is specially created as a tool to help study and navigate through the Bible simply and easily. It can also serve as a part of your home school or private school Bible curriculum. The surveys are simple to read and comprehend. You can also use it to test your knowledge of God's Word. Our churches, Christian Schools, and church programs do not provide the level of Biblical training needed to foster a deep-rooted faith and passion for God's Word. At Inspiring Life Books we want to change that. So we created this Bible survey to help readers of the Bible rightly divide and handle God's truth. Thank you for supporting this work to fortify your faith. In the beginning, God's relationship with man was severed when Adam and Eve ate the fruit, God instructed them not to eat. But this did not shake God's plan for creation. We get a picture of God's faithfulness to fulfill His promises through the events of the Old and the New Testament. In His plan to reconcile mankind to Himself, He instituted an earthly system of retribution through the law until the coming of Christ. Through Christ, God would provide eternal salvation by pouring out His grace. The Old and New Testaments are a testimony of God's faithfulness and a consistent message of His grace. These Scriptures provide us a pathway to salvation as they present Christ's foretold and Christ's ministry on earth. It is in the New Testament that Christ personally delivers God's message of salvation and instructs us exactly how this is accomplished.
