Book excerpt: Many a statecrafts, many form of governments, many types of leaderships have been experienced by human society so far. There is no denying the fact that all the statecrafts and the world as a whole is suffering from the crisis of leadership. Due to the lack of holistic approach to leadership governance has not been reflected anywhere of the globe through public welfare, honesty, transparency, rule of law and inclusive development. Leadership so far has been studied in terms of top-down approach which emphasizes the power and domination of few microscopic leader-elites at the top over the general masses at the down. This is very wrong, non-inclusive, frenzied and anti-people approach to leadership. This book is just the denial of this limited, narrow and selfish approach and in lieu of this elite approach this book represents a holistic approach to leadership. Holistic approach elucidates the route to all-round development. Sound concept of leadership argues that it is not sufficient for the leaders to be able, capacitated, physically, mentally and spiritually elevated but the general people, the stakeholders of the governance should also be elevated highly in all fields –physical, mental and spiritual. This book highlights the importance of honesty, morality, spirituality, sacrificing and benevolent mentality in the mind-set of the leaders who in acquisition of these qualities can only play their role in social transformation. When by the influence of positive auto-suggestion leaders as well as the masses will move together towards physical, mental, psychic, moral and spiritual development social transformation will be possible. Concept of leadership can only make it possible in reality. This is how the book 'concept of leadership and its contemporary relevance in a changing world' is pertinent. This book is not only a collection of dry pages; this book is the outlines of a dream how to live and why to live.
