Book excerpt: Developing the urban tourism research agenda has involved active engagement with stakeholders who have an interest in improving the performance of Australian urban tourism destinations. This report contains the outcomes of this project: recommendation for a research program that represents the views of a cross section of tourism academics; and government and industry representatives who have an interest in and knowledge of the broad field of urban tourism. It should be noted that although the project has been limited in time it has captured a broad range of industry, government and community stakeholder perspectives.
