Force displacement creates challenges for the refugees and the host societies. Displacement and Refugee Issues in South Asia: Uncovering the Contested Realities brings out the cases of forcibly displacement from five South Asian countries: Rohingya in Bangladesh, India and Nepal, Tamils in Sri Lanka, and the Afghan refugees in Afghanistan and Europe. Bulbul Siddiqi and contributors reveal that the refugee population in various South Asian countries have been living with vulnerabilities and uncertainty due to ineffective repatriation and the lack of dignified living conditions in host countries. It requires urgent support and initiatives from global and regional powers and international humanitarian organizations to ensure that the dignified lives of these vulnerable populations in different countries.
