I have included some information from others regarding how to evaluate an old Winchester. This is important when examining a rifle for possible purchase. Common mistakes in purchasing are also included. 4. Provide references for information regarding ATF regulations on gun transfers, i.e. buying and selling. 5. Provide instructions on how to properly refinish the stocks & forearms using a 100% linseed oil formula like was originally used on most of these old guns, and considerations as when to refinish or not refinish these old guns. 6.
