She was awarded a book-publishing contract, and her book of poetry The Truth Seeker was published in 1997.In 2005, she wrote her first book of short stories Journeys in the Lifeboat, followed in 2006 by her book Ultimate Betrayal, the true story of how a homeowner's small claim against her HOA (Home Owners' Association) was turned by lawyers into a $95,000.00 legal nightmare, and in 2013 she published a touching collection of life stories called Journeys into the Past.Uta writes exclusively non-fiction, for she says, "life presents us with so many incredible moments and events, fiction could never be more interesting than life itself."
