What I am sharing here is how to pick winners, first as an investor and then across your working life, by combining your investing and career strategies into one cohesive wealth strategy. To reach MegaWealth™️ faster, you need to combine your career and investing strategies, whereas most advice is to treat them separately. My approach of running your entire professional life through your investing lens is why I'm writing a book on investing. Once you: (1) Learn, use, and refine a proven system of investing, (2) Apply it to your career (selecting roles using this system), and (3) Leverage your investments for both financial and career gain… Your mind can become a money-making machine! I don’t offer investment advice either in this book or outside of this book. What I do offer is to openly share my system, my mistakes, the world’s biggest frauds, and how to learn from all of them in these pages. Then you can become a great investor. My coaching clients are a savvy group. But most come from varied backgrounds that might not include formal investment training, i.e. corporate finance or sales in Big Tech. Large technology companies provide a great starting ground for MegaWealth™️ because they have systems to teach you skills while getting you networked into Silicon Valley builders and investors. But working in Big Tech doesn’t teach you to invest the way 25 years as an institutional investor taught me. This book is the missing piece for my readers and clients who believe that building their Money Flywheel is a faster and more fun way to achieve MegaWealth™️, and they want to understand and excel at the investing component of their Money Flywheel. Because this type of investing is by definition investing in a broader context, I take a different approach than most investing books. Then you can apply your investor hat as well as your perspective having worked in private markets to invest in private companies.
