Book excerpt: Excerpt from Minutes of the Fifty-First Annual Session of the Bear Creek Missionary Baptist Association: Held With Rouse's Chapel Baptist Church, Near Lagrange, N. C., October 10, 11, 12 and 14, 1923 Many things are brought to our minds through the Moderator's Address. The welcome address was called for and the pastor Rev. Carroll came before the Association and asked that the welcome address be deferred until tonight. The address was deferred. Rev. Carroll then asked the Moderator and brethren for a few minutes to have a Covenant meeting. Says he, I want to hear from the brethren. I have been connected with this Association forty-six years and my Covenant is love to the brethren and the bounds. There were many brethren who spoke along the same line. The Moderator then arose and announced the house ready for business. About the Publisher Forgotten Books publishes hundreds of thousands of rare and classic books.
