Book excerpt: This report describes the results of the underwater inspection of piers at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, Naval Station. The inspection was conducted by the Underwater Construction Team One based at Little Creek, Virginia. The preliminary inspection is utilized to determine the necessity for a more thorough underwater inspection and structural analysis. Specific recommendations for each inspected pier is provided along with general overall recommendations for all the facilities. The extent of damage, method of repair, and repair priority is not the subject of this report and the definition of these subjects requires a more detailed underwater inspection and the scheduling of priority funding by the facility.
