C., July 30th to August 4th, 1919 The High Point Educational and Missionary Baptist Associa tion convened in its Thirtieth Annual Session with Sharon Baptist' Church promptly at 8 p. M. The Moderator, Rev. J. E. Boykin, called the session. Praise services were conducted by the dele gates assembled. A Scripture lesson was read by Rev. S. G. Gil mer. Prayer was offered by Rev. John Dixon. Hymn 107 was sung. At an address of welcome 'by 'his honor, the Mayor. He being unable to attend, substituted Rev. Glenn, a pastor of the white: Church, who gave the delegation a cordial welcome to the city. Rev. A. S. Croom responded to the address of welcome in a most excellent way, and most oratorical excellence, which is characteristic of Rev. Croom.
