Since the adoption of the Convention on the Rights of the Child (CRC), 'child participation' has received much attention. National and local governments, UN agencies, organizations and community groups have started to explore the concepts of participation, partnership and empowerment. This publication makes a case for a commitment to respecting children's rights, and draws on research on a wide range of international initiatives. In doing so, it seeks to provide guidelines in working with children as partners.
