Of this amount 587, ounds were produced in South America, In South A rica, and in Australasia, the three great export ing regions which supply the deficiencies in production of clothing wools of western Europe and North America. For 1921 world pro duction is estimated at pounds, of which the three ex porting regions above mentioned are credited with pounds pounds, and pounds, respectively, or a_de cline in these areas of pounds from pre-war production.
