Citation analysis is one of the most important bibliometrics techniques involving analysis of the references forming part of communication. The last two decades have been marked by several studies on the application of bibliometrics techniques to various disciplines. There is phenomenal growth of literature. Bibliometries which is evident from the bibliographies of Pritchard and Writing2 Bibliometries is the study of and measurement of the publication pattern of all from of written communication and their authors. It is interesting to note that twenty-percent of the recent literature is related to bibliometrics.
